Official Translation of Birth Certificate

You may need an official translation of your birth certificate for migratory, academic, civil, business or banking matters.

By Law, official translations must be issued by a duly registered translator before the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to be deemed official (Regulation to Official Translations and Interpretations N° 40824 RE, Official Translations and Interpretations Law N° 8142).

Foreign source documents (to be translated) must be apostilled or internationally certified to be legally valid in Costa Rica.
